Hull Training Faculty of Foundation Learning, Catering and Hospitality

The site provides 16-19 age young people the opportunity to bridge school to post 16 employment or further education and training through our IAG process. The centre provides learners with the opportunity to undertake pre-Apprenticeship qualifications developed through a learner framework which has three parts, first being its Foundation studies which looks at Personal and Social Development, we are able to support those learners wishing to improve English, Maths and IT.

The second stage provides learners to undertake a vocational qualification with practical and theory session visits to other work areas and to complete the framework a Career Enhancement programme which supports and develops learners in their employability skills and progression routes to their preferred career employment, or future training needs.

Additional enrichment programme are on offer such as: first aid, working at heights, health and safety, alcohol awareness, community projects and charity events.

Our 14-16 Provision

Linked to the HULL 14-19 partnership delivers a wide range of schools and Engineering related qualification such as, NVQ, BTEC, GCSE, Diploma’s and Young Apprenticeships linked to employer engagement programmes which provide both theory and practical activities through a well equipped workshop. Young people develop work ready skills such as health and safety working safely in the working environment, develop their engineering skills, round100 young learners are supported by qualified industrially experienced teaching staff.

All programmes are nationally recognised by awarding bodies and contain enrichment qualifications and courses additional to the pre apprenticeship and foundation learning framework.
