Health and Safety

Health and Safety
Hull Training and Adult Education Service follow Hull City Council’s Health and Safety policy. If you want to see a full copy of the policy, please ask at the centre you attend.

Risk assessments are carried out for each course and for any activities, which take place outside the centres. Safety is everyone’s responsibility in the classroom and outside.

In certain classes you will have to wear protective clothing and you must adhere to these regulations or you will not be allowed to participate. In classes which use hazardous equipment, a tutor must be present at all times it is in use and will talk to you about Health and Safety.

Fire Safety
Fire exits are clearly marked and are located throughout our centres.

Fire drills are held periodically at centres.

You will be given details of the fire evacuation procedure at your first class.

There are notices in each room outlining these procedures. Please take the time to read them and talk to your tutor if you have any concerns.
