This course is aimed towards school leavers who are interested in a future career in Child Care . You should have a keen interest in this subject, and want a career in this sector.What will I learn?
This is a level 1 course to provide you with an introduction to the skills, knowledge and understanding required to work in Health and Social Care sector. It is a practical approach to learning which includes OCR Level 1 in Childcare, NCFE Personal and Social Development Award and Functional skills.You will learn:
- Investigating Health and Social Care
- Introducing practical caring
- Communication and problem solving in health and social care
- Creative play for pre school children in early years settings
What qualifications will I achieve?
Upon completion of this course you will have achieved National award in Child Care level 1Including non-accredited certificates in the following:
- Customer Care
- Safe Food Hygeine
- Infection Control
- Nutrition and Well being
- Maintaining the Safety and Security of Children
- Understanding Child Protection
- Principles of Childcare
- Promoting the Health and Hygiene of Children
How will I be assessed?
You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your knowledge and skills. The evidence is collected through practical activites and assignments.
