This is a pre-apprenticeship / Foundation Learning programme for if you wish to develop transferable skills that will support you to progress onto a relevant apprenticeship. You will follow a programme designed to suit your ability with the emphasis on support.What will I learn?
Learners on this course will learn how to perform a variety of construction skills.You will learn:
- Brickwork
- Tiling
- Setting out
- Rendering
- Plastering
- Screeding You may also undertake additional transferrable skills in:
- Painting & Decorating
- Joinery
What qualifications will I achieve?
Upon completion of this course, you will achieve some or all of the following nationally recognised qualifications:- Level 1 Certificate in Building Crafts (500/5877/0)
- Level 1 award in Personal Money Management (500/8624/8)
- Level 1 award in Employability Skills (500/6768/0)
- Functional Skills - Maths
- Functional Skills - English
- Functional Skills - ICT
How will I be assessed?
You be be assessed through practical & written assessments and portfolio work.
