This course is ideal for school leavers aged 16-18 years with an interest in Heating and Ventilation.What will I learn?
This programme covers the skills and knowledge required to install industrial and commercial heating and ventilation systems. The course involves safe working practices, communication, scientific principles within mechanical engineering services and the installation of hearing and ventilation systems.Candidates will gain a sound understanding of the principles, procedures and technologies of a modern ventilation and air conditioning system including;
- HVAC fundamentals
- Pipe joining techniques
- Basic thermodynamic principles
- Basic psychometrics
- Fans and Air filtration
- Measuring air volume and velocity

You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your knowledge and skills. This involves collecting details of work performed while in your work place.
