Who is this course for?

This course is ideal for school leavers aged 16-18 years with an interest in engineering.

What will I learn?

You will learn competence in maintenance principals and techniques, machine operation, electrical appreciation, product assembly, composite manufacture. Candidates can also learn fabrication/welding and oxy-fuel cutting techniques.

How will I be assessed?

You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your knowledge and skills. This involves collecting details of work performed while in your work place.

A*-G GCSE Grades. Ability to complete an entry assessment and interview.

Future Opportunities

After undertaking the apprenticeship programme young people can progress onto an Advanced Apprenticeship and then onto further qualifications such as; NVQ Level 4, HNC or a degree.
