Who is this course for?

This course is aimed towards school leavers who are interested in a future career in Health and Social Care. You should have a keen interest in this subject, and want a career in this sector.

What will I learn?

You will learn the different sectors involved in Health and Social care provision as well as:
  • The importance of being able to work in a team
  • Communication skills
  • How and why different mobility aids are used
  • Health and Safety
  • Reducing risks in a care setting
  • Safe moving and handling techniques
  • How to provide personal care to clients
  • How to deal with minor accidents in the care setting
This is an exciting introduction to the health and social care profession.

What qualifications will I achieve?

Upon completion of this course you will have achieved OCR 03652 National award in Health and social care level 1

How will I be assessed?

You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your knowledge and skills. The evidence is collected through practical activites and assignments.
