Who is this course for?

This course is aimed towards school leavers who are interested in a future career in Health and Social Care. You should have a keen interest in this subject, and want a career in this sector.

What will I learn?

You will learn the different sectors involved in Health and Social care provision as well as:

The importance of being able to work in a team
Communication skills
How and why different mobility aids are used
Health and Safety
Reducing risks in a care setting
Safe moving and handling techniques
How to provide personal care to clients
How to deal with minor accidents in the care setting

This is an exciting introduction to the health and social care profession.

What qualifications will I achieve?

Upon completion of this course you will have achieved OCR 03652 National award in Health and social care level 1

How will I be assessed?

You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your knowledge and skills. The evidence is collected through practical activites and assignments.
