This course is aimed towards school leavers who are interested in a future career in Health and Social Care. You should have a keen interest in this subject, and want a career in this sector.What will I learn?
You will learn the different sectors involved in Health and Social care provision as well as:- The importance of being able to work in a team
- Communication skills
- How and why different mobility aids are used
- Health and Safety
- Reducing risks in a care setting
- Safe moving and handling techniques
- How to provide personal care to clients
- How to deal with minor accidents in the care setting
What qualifications will I achieve?
Upon completion of this course you will have achieved OCR 03652 National award in Health and social care level 1Including non-accredited certificates in the following:
- Customer Care
- Safe Food Hygeine
- Safeguarding Vunerable Adults
- Moving and Handling
- Infection Control
- Nutrition and Well being
- Managing Violence and Aggression
How will I be assessed?
You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your knowledge and skills. The evidence is collected through practical activites and assignments.
