Diploma for IT Users Level 2 - Intermediate Apprenticeship
Diploma for IT Users Level 3 - Advanced Apprenticeship

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed towards school/college leavers who are interested in a future career in using IT within a business environment. You should have a keen interest in becoming a competent user of Microsoft Office applications (eg Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, etc), as well as being willing to develop skills within IT systems and software required for job role. Additionally you will develop skills to enhance personal and team effectiveness through the use of IT and gain an insight into the wider use of IT across your organisation.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to use all Microsoft Office applications and apply these skills to the workplace. You will also:
  • Develop general office skills
  • Improve communication skills
  • Become an effective team member
On an Advanced Apprenticeship these skills will develop to an advanced level. Both levels of this qualification give you the flexibility to select office or technical based IT units.

How will I be assessed?

You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your knowledge and skills. This involves collecting details of work performed while in your work place.

Entry Requirements?

A*-G GCSE Grades. Ability to complete an entry assessment and interview.

Course Duration

Intermediate Apprenticeship takes up to 1 year (full time). The optional Advanced Apprenticeship will then take a further 2 years.

Future Opportunities

This course has progression routes available from Foundation Learning (Level 1), to Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2), progression onto Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) would be via the Diploma for IT Users.
