Course aim

This challenge aims to encourage ideas and creativity. Creativity in children is so important as it helps teach cognitive skills such as mathematics and scientific thinking. Creative thinking involves imagination, use of communication, physical dexterity and exertion, problem posing and problem solving.

Children of any age can join our online Family Learning courses.

Please complete your enrolment 4 days prior to attending to ensure you have the relevant access to the online classroom.

 

Qualifications and assessment

This course uses RARPA as its method of assessment. 

RARPA stands for Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement which is the process of assessment for non-accredited learning. It is a means of validating the outcomes of programmes which do not result in qualifications. RARPA is a five stage process which measures and records learners’ progress, achievements and attendance.

Course content

Build a den with your children, can you build the most imaginative one?  This course will provide you with the ideas and inspiration to build a den that your children with love.

Post a picture of your completed den and see what others have done.

We hope that this challenge will help you discover learning as a family and that it will inspire you to do more. Learning as a family benefits everyone. It’s a great way to boost confidence in your child and to help them with their school work. We hope that you might consider learning something in the future just for you.
