Course overview
The role of a Business and Administration apprentice is to provide high quality administration service to their employer. Administrators need a broad range of skills to work efficiently and to help increase business productivity. As an apprentice, you will learn the skills and knowledge needed to work for an organisation and you will have some of the following duties:
- Communicating in writing and verbally,
- preparing business documents,
- inputting data,
- organising and supporting meetings and
- events and managing information and diary systems.
Some of the job roles can and do include Administrator, Office Junior, Receptionist, Business Support Officer.

The level 2 apprenticeship in Business and Administration is an excellent starting point for anyone who wants to begin a career in a business / office environment.

Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements however, if you don’t already have a GCSE grade D (3) or above, as part of the apprenticeship you will achieve Level 1 Functional Skills in maths, English and ICT.
