Creative Art – Introduction

Overview of the course
This course is a vibrant introduction to Creative Arts with a focus on Skills and Employability.  This will be particularly valuable to those who are interested in pursuing a career in the creative sector, for example in the Graphic Design or Printing industries, involving experimentation with range of materials and processes relevant to commercial opportunities.

Your journey will be guided through step-by-step tutor demonstrations, and facilitated by group discussions relating to our perceptions of Arts & Culture, involving examples of successful creative projects and small businesses in Hull.

The practical course content will be negotiated to meet your needs and could include some of the following:

Drawing & Painting
Basic Printmaking incl. Lino Printing
Illustration (for Fiction or Non-Fiction, e.g. magazines and editorials)

Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at learners of all abilities and levels of skill and experience, whether you practice creative art and design professionally, for leisure, or are looking for a structured starting point. No prior experience or qualification is necessary and your needs will be fully supported in the workshop. Individual learning aims for recording your progress will be agreed with the tutor.

What can I do after this course?
After this course there are a number of options for progression including Creative Arts: Next Steps, or our new Entry Level 3 Drawing & Painting (Creative Craft Skills) Qualification. Please discuss these options with your tutor.
