Overview of the course
This course builds on the skills and knowledge established in the Creative Arts Introduction, and will provide progression towards a deeper understanding of professional practice in the creative sector. This will involve further experimentation with processes relevant to the Graphic Design and Printing industries in the group workshop setting. In Next Steps, you will work on an individual project towards a final creative outcome – this could be for example a printed illustration to support a magazine article, or a painting to enter into competitions and prizes for gallery exhibitions.
Your journey will be guided through step-by-step tutor demonstrations, and weekly individual tutorials to support your personal targets for final outcomes. Learning will continue to be facilitated by group discussions relating to our perceptions of Arts & Culture, involving examples of successful creative projects and small businesses in Hull, exploring in more depth the working structures of those businesses.
The practical course content will be negotiated to meet your needs and could include some of the following:
Digital Design (Photoshop and Creative Software)
