We all have different approaches to drawing and painting, and this course is an opportunity to explore a wide range of those approaches through the use of different art materials in an exciting workshop setting, from charcoal to acrylics, and learn exciting new techniques to further develop your own creative voice and style.
Your journey will be guided through step-by-step tutor demonstrations and specialist guidance, facilitated by group discussions relating to our perceptions of drawing and painting by examples from modern and historical artists and designers.
Course content will be negotiated to meet your individual needs, and some of the techniques covered will include:
- Layered Watercolour Landscapes
- Mixed Media Painting, Collage and Texture activities
- Portraiture and Figure Drawing
Drawing and Painting (Learning for Leisure) is designed to support you in building confidence in creative activity as well as technical and transferable skills.
Required materials are provided. Advice on supplementary materials to be independently sourced will also be provided.
No entry requirements. This course is aimed at learners of all abilities and levels of skill and experience, whether you practice creative art and design professionally, for leisure, or are looking for a structured starting point
