Overview of the course
We all have different approaches to drawing and painting. This course is an opportunity to explore a wide range of different art materials in an exciting workshop setting, from charcoal to acrylics, and learn exciting new techniques to further develop your own creative voice and style. Your journey will be guided through step-by-step tutor demonstrations, and facilitated by group discussions relating to our perceptions of drawing and painting, via examples from modern and historical artists and designers.
The course content will be negotiated to meet your needs and could include some of the following:

- Layered Landscapes
- Line Drawing Activities
- Urban Decay Painting
- Creative Selfies… and more!
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at learners of all abilities and levels of skill and experience, whether you practice creative art and design professionally, for leisure, or are looking for a structured starting point. No prior experience or qualification is necessary and your needs will be fully supported in the workshop. Individual learning aims for recording your progress will be agreed with the tutor.
What can I do after this course?
After this course there are a number of options for progression including our new our new Entry Level 3 Drawing & Painting (Creative Craft Skills) Qualification. Also available are Creative Arts Introduction & Next Steps courses which explore the relevance and applications of Art & Design as relates to Skills and Employability.
