Introductory overview of the course

Learn about National Insurance and pension skills, gain an understanding of eating healthily including the “Eatwell plate”, analyse food choices and explain what improvements can be made and learn budgeting skills and complete a budgeting spreadsheet.

Who is this course for?

This is part of our suite of ‘First Steps’ courses which  are free and designed for people wanting to return to education in a welcoming and  friendly environment. This course is for anyone wanting to gain some skills, knowledge and increased confidence.

Entry Requirements

If you do not have a Maths and /or English Level 2 qualification (equivalent to GCSE) or have not been in education or training for the last five years, not currently accessing our provision and want to gain confidence and learn new skills.

What can I do after the course?

A range of courses are available to continue to develop employability skills and confidence including arts/crafts and accredited programmes in Maths, English and IT.
