Course Aims
If you are preparing to take the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam this course gives you the opportunity to develop skills to support you with this preparation.
Entry Requirements
You need to be working at Level 2 in your English skills in order to attend this course.

Course Content
The course helps you prepare for the IELTS task-based test which covers the four language skills:
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking
Assessment Method
This course uses RARPA as its method of assessment.
RARPA stands for Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement which is the process of assessment for non-accredited learning. It is a means of validating the outcomes of programmes which do not result in qualifications. RARPA is a five stage process which measures and records learners’ progress, achievements and attendance.
