Course Aims

This Entry Level Essential Digital Skills course is a qualification designed for adults with little or no experience of using digital devices and accessing online content.

This qualification focuses on securing the essential digital skills needed for work, life and further study. The skills acquired through this qualification will enable you to be able to provide personal information to government agencies and utility companies and help you have a digital presence and be able to communicate with family and friends. The qualification will also provide you with further opportunities of further study and to progress in work.

Students will learn:

  • Using devices to interact and handling information online
  • To create, store and editing digital content
  • To communicate and share content online using a digital device
  • Transacting, make informed choices and managing online accounts
  • To know how to stay safe and responsible online

Entry Requirements

This qualification is designed for adults who have little or no prior experience in using digital devices or the internet, who wish to gain digital skills for specific work, life or study purposes.

No previous formal qualifications are required for entry to these qualifications

Assessment Method

This qualification will be accessible online and each unit is assessed through the completion of tasks and an online knowledge test. Assessments are internally marked by our centre assessors, internally verified then verified by the awarding body to ensure consistency

You will have access to our online systems, individual email with online storage and tutor support throughout including chat and email over the duration of the course.
