Overview of the course
Exploring Art is an opportunity to develop your understanding of a wide range of art materials and techniques in an exciting workshop setting. Experimentation with materials, through drawing, painting and printmaking processes, will result in you beginning to identify your own individual creative style and identity. Your journey will be guided through step-by-step tutor demonstrations, and facilitated by group discussions relating to various aspects of Arts and Culture.
The course content will be negotiated to meet your needs and could include some of the following:

Mixed Media Collage
Altered Materials Sculpture
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at learners of all abilities and levels of skill and experience, whether you practice creative art and design professionally, for leisure, or are looking for a structured starting point. No prior experience or qualification is necessary and your needs will be fully supported in the workshop. Individual learning aims for recording your progress will be agreed with the tutor.
What can I do after the course?
After this course there is a number of options for progression including Creative Arts Introduction & Next Steps, courses which explore the relevance and applications of Art & Design as relates to Skills and Employability, and also our new Entry Level 3 Drawing & Painting (Creative Craft Skills) Qualification.
