Course Aims

As part of Hull Training and Adult Education’s COVID recovery plan, our Family Learning courses are free of charge.  We are here to offer support with a range of provision to fit around your busy schedule.

To improve knowledge of how parents can help and support children in maths. To develop strategies for family learning of child learning methods for numeracy at key stages 1 and 2

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements.

Please complete your enrolment 4 days prior to attending to ensure you have the relevant access to the online classroom.

Course Content

  • Develop strategies to support your child’s learning
  • Improve your knowledge of the current maths curriculum
  • Explore working safely online
  • Improve the online learning experience for all

Assessment Method

Evidence of achievement is by creating a portfolio of evidence

Where can it lead?

Developing your maths skills and gaining a qualification will help you to support your child’s learning.  It also enables you to demonstrate your maths skills to employers and access other courses.  You could also progress onto courses such as Maths Functional Skills.

We offer a number of other courses to help you get on and move on. Why not consider refreshing your English skills or try one of our IT or vocational courses?
