Slow and relaxed is the aim of this workshop! Sewing by hand helps reduce stress and anxiety and is a great way to unwind and enjoy great company and conversation. You will learn how to make a hand embroidered Mexican Day of the Dead themed ornament.
Come along, meet new people, learn new skills, and spend some time sewing and making.
A love of hand sewing is all that’s needed!

This is a classroom-based, workshop-style, learning experience.
Using felt, embroidery threads and a needle we will create a colourful, fun piece to decorate your home at Halloween.
Tutor demonstration, advice, guidance and practical support will be given throughout the session.
Resources will be provided but please feel free to bring your own felt, embroidery threads, sewing needles and equipment.
This course uses RARPA as its method of assessment.
RARPA stands for Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement which is the process of assessment for non-accredited learning. It is a means of validating the outcomes of programmes which do not result in qualifications. RARPA is a five-stage process which measures and records learners’ progress, achievements and attendance.
