Course Aims
ICT Functional Skills can help you develop the practical ICT skills you need to use technology in life, study and work. You’ll develop your ICT skills and learn how to use them in real-life situations.
By reaching Level 1, you’ll reach the equivalent to a D or E grade at GCSE, meaning that you can demonstrate your ability to understand and use every day ICT at this level. When you progress to Level 2, you will reach the equivalent to a grade A* to C at GCSE meaning you can demonstrate you have mastered everyday ICT.

- Be more confident with computers and technology
- A qualification to back up knowledge
- Confidence in ICT to help move onto future opportunities

Course Content
OCR Functional Skills ICT
- Create, edit and format word processing documents
- Create spreadsheets using formulas and function
- Use the Internet for research and send emails effectively
- Know how to use search engines
- Organise work using file management
Assessment Method
This is an accredited course and evidence of achievement is by examination
