Introducing Mindful Meditation (online)

In this two hour online workshop you will be introduced to mindful meditation and learn about the basic principles and application. You will explore ways that you can use the skills to help to clear your mind and restore your inner calm.
You will need basic IT skills, and access to a computer/tablet or telephone allowing you to use google classroom, and the free Microsoft Teams App.

You will undertake an introductory session learning the basic principles, skills and tools for using meditation to gain headspace. You will also undertake two practical10 minute meditations gaining the practical experience so to you can apply mindful meditation independently.
You will be supported though google classroom based practical teaching as well as google classroom access allowing you to access your coursework at any time.
This course is assessed through RARPA and non-accredited. You will receive guidance and support identifying and setting targets along your learning journey and can expect ongoing tutor support and feedback to help you to achieve your aims.
Where can it lead?
Once you have built up your confidence and skills the world of progression opens up to you. You can progress onto further courses in mental health, or stretch your craft skills by enrolling onto our Art and Wellbeing courses. Direct progression routes to future courses are available to you through current workshops and new courses beginning after Christmas.
Learning new skills and gaining great highlights to add to your C.V., as the skills give you interesting talking points showing diverse interests and an interest in progression.
