Course Aims
This six-week course is for someone who has little or no skills in computing and who wishes to learn or improve.

Course Content
Baffled, bored or intimidated by technology?
Are you feeling behind or have been avoiding using a computer?
Then this course maybe just right for you.
The key skills you will learn are:
- Turning on and shutting down safely
- Keyboard skills
- Searching the internet
- Emailing
- Entering and amending text and images
Assessment Method
Programme delivery will include a combination of structured learning materials and face-to-face delivery with the opportunity to use our online systems for support. Each unit is assessed through the completion of skills and knowledge as you progress.
Where can it lead?
The next level for IT is the Essential Digital Skills – Entry Level 3 course.
The more computer skills you have, the more confidence you will gain to research and obtain information for household and leisure activities, volunteering opportunities or even employment, if desired.
