Course Aims

In this two hour online workshop you will learn how to create festive Centrepieces using jam jars, wooden boards, gold paint, recycled baubles and Christmas decorations, any craft items you wish to include and festive foliage.

Entry Requirements

To have an awareness of basic clay skills and techniques as well as basic IT skills allowing you to access and use google classroom and attend the class online.

Course Content

Centrepieces are always desirable, making them viable as a product should you wish to learn how to make craft items to sell or would just like to make a unique Christmas gift.

To complete this workshop you will need, foliage such as holly, conifer or pine from an obliging tree, a small quantity of recycled decorations, ribbon, and acrylic paint. A board to glue your arrangement to or a piece of wood or log (as long as it is flat and stable enough to hold your arrangement get creative). You will also need three or five jam jars in various sizes and hot glue gun. Use anything that you have lying around!

You are welcome to let your creative juices flow and use any additional paints/craft items that you have at home.

You will be supported though google classroom based practical teaching as well as google classroom access allowing you to access your coursework at any time.

Assessment Method

This course is assessed through RARPA and non-accredited. You will receive guidance and support identifying and setting targets along your learning journey and can expect ongoing tutor support and feedback to help you to achieve your aims.
