Lino Printing

Lino printing is a form of fine art printmaking where the printing plate is cut into lino. Lino as in linoleum – the floor covering. The lino is then inked, a piece of paper placed over it, and then pressure is applied by hand to transfer the ink to the paper. The result: a lino-cut print. Because it’s a smooth surface, the lino itself doesn’t add texture to the print.

The designs you can create are endless, your tutor will guide and help you to unleash your inner creativity. At the end of the course you will have your art work to take home with you.

Learn helpful tips, techniques and the basics of Lino printing.
