Marshmallow and Spaghetti Towers -Family Fun Challenge
This is an enjoyable challenge which encourages the whole family to work together to practice problem solving, design thinking, resilience and agility skills.
There are no entry requirements.
Children of any age can join our online Family Learning courses.
Please complete your enrolment 4 days prior to attending to ensure you have the relevant access to the online classroom.
Qualifications and assessment
This course uses RARPA as its method of assessment.
RARPA stands for Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement which is the process of assessment for non-accredited learning. It is a means of validating the outcomes of programmes which do not result in qualifications. RARPA is a five stage process which measures and records learners’ progress, achievements and attendance.
How high can you make a tower using just dry spaghetti and marshmallows? You can’t hold onto it!

We hope that this session will help you discover learning as a family and that it will inspire you to do more. Learning as a family benefits everyone. It’s a great way to boost confidence in your child and to help them with their school work. We hope that you might consider learning something in the future just for you.
