Course Aims

Learn the basics of fleece and felt making and improve on and develop existing felting skills.

Course Content

During this six-week course, and in a series of personalised tasks and short projects you will explore:

  • The basics of needle felting
  • 2D felting
  • 3D felting
  • Wet felting
  • Fleece

You will design and create your own personalised felt pieces using a range of different felting skills and techniques tailored to you and your skill level.

Assessment Method

This is a RARPA based course, assessment is carried out though building of a portfolio and taking part within tasks matched to the individual’s personal targets.

RARPA stands for Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement which is the process of assessment for non-accredited learning. It is a means of validating the outcomes of programmes which do not result in qualifications.
