Course Aims

Learn about the characteristics of fleece and the different techniques used to create Felt through the completion of a series of different felting projects.

Course Content

This six-week course will introduce you to the art form of felting.  During each session you will focus on a different felting technique with a personalised outcome.

We will cover:

  • Basic needle felting 2D and 3D
  • Basic wet felting
  • Combining techniques
  • Making fairies

Projects will include:

  • Card making
  • Objects and Animals
  • Fairies
  • Panels with embellished designs

Assessment Method

This is a RARPA based course, assessment is carried out though building of a portfolio and taking part within tasks matched to the individual’s personal targets.

RARPA stands for Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement which is the process of assessment for non-accredited learning. It is a means of validating the outcomes of programmes which do not result in qualifications.
