Pneumatics maintenance operators install, maintain, repair, rebuild or modify existing pneumatic or fluid systems, controls and components.

This course will introduce and familiarise you with wide variety of concepts, providing you with a good grounding in pneumatic terminology and the design, construction and operation of pneumatic components.

This course is a mix of theory work and practical hands on training in our industry standard workshops.

You will gain extensive knowledge of a wide variety of pneumatic components. This includes reading and interpreting job specifications, blueprints, circuit diagrams and symbols, as well as the construction of control systems.

The programme will include mandatory requirements of the Apprenticeship framework; an NVQ, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT.

To enrol on this apprenticeship, you need to be aged 16 and over, ideally have GCSEs at
Grades A*- G (preferably English, Maths and IT)

You will be required to complete an entry assessment and interview.

We work with a large number of partner organisations who can provide employment as part of our apprenticeships. During the interview you will be able to find out more on how we can help and support you in finding employment.

On completion of the Apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to progress onto the Advanced Apprenticeship programme or employment. This could then lead to further qualifications such as NVQ Level 4, HNC or a degree.
