Course Aims

The aim of this course is to encourage the interaction within families and to promote family learning activities.

Entry Requirements

This course is suitable for children aged 3 years and over.  All children must be accompanied by an adult (a maximum of two children per adult) who will be responsible for supervising their children at all times.

Course Content

This workshop is designed to allow parents, carers, grandparents and their child/ren the opportunity to work together to complete and achieve a range of Spring-themed craft activities plus encourage learning within the family.

Assessment Method

This course uses RARPA as its method of assessment.

RARPA stands for Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement which is the process of assessment for non-accredited learning. It is a means of validating the outcomes of programmes which do not result in qualifications. RARPA is a five-stage process which measures and records learners’ progress, achievements and attendance.

Progression onto maths and English Functional Skills.

This course has links to childcare, education, psychology careers or courses.

You could progress onto courses such as:

  • Maths Functional Skills

This course would be useful in the following roles:

  • Lunchtime Supervisor
  • Teaching Assistant
  • Childminder
