Course Aims

This online course can open up your positive thinking and aims to boost overall wellbeing. On this course you will develop an understanding of personal skills and ways of using mindfulness to boost overall wellbeing. We will use positive thinking as a tool to reframe our strengths, look at coping techniques, behaviour management styles, and tips to improve emotional health by understanding relaxation techniques.

Course Content

Wellbeing is a driving factor in our ability to apply for new career opportunities, adapt to change or even manage day to day activities and relationships. Spring in Your Step aims to boost confidence, self-esteem and motivation through highlighting the life skills that enable positivity, support personal growth, boost wellbeing, using self-reflection to better understand ourselves and others.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • Understand the importance of self-esteem and its impact on your life
  • Use mindfulness to re-balance your mind-set.
  • Use relaxation techniques
  • Have a personal awareness of how positive thinking can impact on helping you to achieve your goals
  • Be able to look at healthy behaviours, boundaries and how to implement this learning into everyday life
  • Be aware of your self-confidence and ways to boost it

This course offers interactive teaching and learning through an easy to access virtual classroom and will help you to realise essential skills, develop your confidence and generate motivation. It is a reflective process, guiding you through a self-awareness journey, helping you identify behaviours, perceiving the deeper connections between self-esteem and self-confidence, what is motivation made of and the components of a positive mental attitude including the benefits of helping you to relax and rest our thought processes.

Assessment Method

Accredited/RARPA statement

RARPA stands for Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement which is the process of assessment for non-accredited learning.  It is a means of validating the outcomes of programmes which do not result in qualifications. RARPA is a five stage process which measures and records learners’ progress, achievements and attendance.

You will receive guidance and support identifying and setting individual targets, feedback along your creative journey and support to achieve your aims.

Where can it lead?

Once you have built up your confidence and skills the world of progression opens up to you. You can progress on to further classes and stretch your skills by enrolling onto other courses which interest you, learning new skills and gaining great highlights to add to your CV. New courses and skills give you interesting talking points and can show diverse interests and skills which all help when in an interview.

Progression routes to Gateway qualifications are open to you once you have completed this course.
