This classroom based workshop-style learning will enable you to develop your knowledge and skills.
You will learn practical sewing skills and techniques whilst working on a textile project.
During the course you will observe tutor demonstrations of the methods and processes implemented in the projects you will create.
This course uses RARPA as its method of assessment.
RARPA stands for Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement which is the process of assessment for non-accredited learning. It is a means of validating the outcomes of programmes which do not result in qualifications. RARPA is a five stage process which measures and records learners’ progress, achievements and attendance.
Where can it lead?
After this course you may wish to advance to further textile courses, such as Sewing Skills for Absolute Beginners, Beginners Sewing and eventually to an accredited course such as Sewing Skills Entry Level 3, which can then lead on to Level 1 Fashion/Textile courses.
Further progression may be a Level 2 and 3 course, and on to a degree course in Fashion/Textiles.
