You will progress your hand building skills by creating a pot using clay and explore and create different textures using a variety of unexpected tools.
You will use your creativity to choose colour to decorate the pot for glazing.

During this four-week course, you will continue to hand build a clay pot using weight and measurements.
You will use your creativity and a variety of different and unusual tools to create patterns and texture.
In the second part of the course, you will have a variety of bright colours to complete your masterpiece.
This is a RARPA based course, assessment is carried out though building of a portfolio and taking part within tasks matched to the individual’s personal targets.
RARPA stands for Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement which is the process of assessment for non-accredited learning. It is a means of validating the outcomes of programmes which do not result in qualifications. RARPA is a five-stage process which measures and records learners’ progress, achievements and attendance.

You could progress on to further crafting, sewing and pottery/ceramics courses.
