The course content will be negotiated to meet your needs and will include some of the following:

- Chord boxes and how to read them;
- Basic chord shapes;

- Initially learn basic tunes.
What do we expect from you?
You will be required to attend an induction to establish your current level of skills and knowledge. At the induction session you will learn about the range of ukuleles available. You will need to have a good quality soprano, concert or tenor ukulele.
Additional equipment required is a good electronic tuner, a USB flash drive (memory stick) and an A4 binder.
Regular attendance is essential for progression to a higher level and you will be encouraged to practise techniques at home.
Recognising and recording your progress and achievement
As with all learning it is important for you to know how you are progressing. Your learning on this course will be recorded through the individual learning goals that you agree and set with your tutor at the beginning of each course. This will allow you to see, as you work towards those learning goals, how well you are learning, what you have achieved, and how you have progressed during the course.
You may also discuss what you would like to progress on to after the course to further your learning or career.
