Our Work Ready project is ideal for anyone who is currently out of the job market or education. It aims to provide participants with the skills and experience needed to get into work. We’ll work with you to produce and amazing CV, explain how you can source and research jobs, show how to impress and job interviews and make positive life choices. Plus we’ll even give the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. If you need to build confidence or your self-esteem. Look no further! We can show you techniques for overcoming everyday challenges.
Our Lone Parent project is designed to help anyone who is a single parent and sometimes struggles to juggle family life with work. We will help you to develop the skills you need to be able to achieve the perfect home/work balance. If you have been out of employment whilst caring for a child, the getting back to work can be tough. We can help improve your English and maths, refresh your skills and provide you with courses such as Health & Safety, Basic Food Hygiene, First Aid and much more.
Provides anyone who is keen to be part of the UK City of Culture or who wants to work in the Creative Skills Industry with a chance to gain work experience in community arts, live events and promotions and support roles in the theatres and museums. We’re working with local employers to offer those on the project with hands on experience, so you can gain the relevant skills and knowledge to get on in this sector.
For anyone who is interested in a career in engineering or the maritime sector this project provides basic skills training in Health and Safety, survival techniques, power boating/sailing, welding and engineering. The YEI project creates an exciting opportunity to open doors for people looking to work in the sector.
