Responsibilities
My role as Chair is to offer the Board of Governors is to lead and provide direction, ensuring that the Board’s business is conducted in an effective and efficient way. The Chair must ensure that in setting the strategic direction, focus and future vision for the service that all governors work as an effective team, each building and maintaining a close working relationship with staff and managers. Individual governors are able to offer contributions from their own particular skills, knowledge and experience, and by offering support, challenge and monitoring, we can, as a Board, ensure the Hull Training service is the best it can be, which, in turn, allows people to access the right training for them and achieve their potential in life.
