Responsibilities
James provides a financial service to a number of departments across Hull City Council including Hull Training and Adult Education.
James supports Officers in setting and managing their budgets throughout the year and feeds into the corporate team in providing information to enable the statutory financial accounts to be completed.
James works closely with the Head of Service and her Senior Management Team in understanding the complexities of the financial environment within which Hull Training and Adult Education operates.
Background
James has worked in local government all his life, initially working for Beverley Borough Council before joining Hull City Council in 1989.
James studied to qualify as a certified accountant and completed the qualification in 1991. He has worked across a number of areas in the local authority providing support and expertise and Hull Training and Adult Education is one area that he has supported for a number of years.
