Tracy Harsley
Assistant Director, Public Health and Adult Services Directorate
Responsibilities
Tracy is an Assistant Director within Public Health and Adult Services Directorate, Hull City Council working to the Deputy Chief Executive. Tracy has responsibility for a broad range of portfolios and services that includes responsibility for HTAE and has taken much time over the last few years to meet regularly with the management team, visit and observe delivery in the learning settings and chairs the Executive Advisory Body that overseas the work and delivery of HTAE.
Tracy also has responsibility for Community Safety Services including: Prevent – Counter Terrorism, Neighbourhood Nuisance, Hate Crime, Domestic Abuse, Strength to Change – Male perpetrator programme, and citywide project delivery. Tracy also has a number of other corporate leads including Veterans and Armed Forces, Social Inclusion, Commissioning and chairs of number of strategic boards including Domestic Abuse Strategic Board, Community Safety Partnership Board, and the Corporate Joint Negotiation and Consultation Committee with Trade Union colleagues.
Tracy is very keen to use her knowledge of service delivery both within the council and across the partnership to further develop and elevate the learning that is on offer through HTAE. There are already areas of best practice that work across the service delivery and Tracy wants to develop these further into community access for learning.
Background
Tracy has worked for Hull City Council since 2006, where she has had responsibility for wide range of services gaining national recognition for some key areas of service during that time. Prior to this Tracy worked for the East Riding of Yorkshire Council for 13 years. Since working for Hull City Council Tracy has completed the Director of Children’s Services Programme, the National Police Improvement Agency Strategic Command Programme and the Home Office Leadership Programme most recently completing a City and Guilds in Education and Training. Tracy has led on and taken part in inspections for a range of bodies during that time. Tracy was also appointed Honorary Colonel to 150 Regiment RLC in late 2019.
