Course Aims
If you want to increase your skills, knowledge and confidence then English Made Easy will be ‘write’ up your street!
Entry Requirements
Ideally you will have been assessed at Entry Level to attend this course and need to improve your skills before starting a formal qualification course. You may have done this in our initial assessment sessions or have already achieved an Entry Level English qualification and be preparing for the next level.

Course Content
This is a confidence building course that helps you to learn more about the basics of reading, writing and spelling well in English. You will focus on planning pieces of writing and developing skills to make checks for accuracy in your work.
You will learn and use research skills, finding information in books and online sites to help your learning on this course. Learn tricks and tips to help your memory and learn new patterns and rules to improve your spelling.
Taking pleasure and enjoyment in learning English is important and you will be able to look at a variety of writing styles to help you to enjoy language by using rhyme, poetry, novels and lyrics.
Assessment Method
Informal assessment – you will set your own targets and show you have achieved them through providing work in classes and reflecting on your learning together with your tutor.

You can progress on to Functional Skills English, Entry Level 2 or 3
