Course Aims
If you have completed the Hand Building for Beginners course then this is the course for you! This course will extend your knowledge and practical skills in pottery hand building techniques.
Entry Requirements
You should have completed the Hand Building for Beginners course, your level will be identified at induction.

Course Content
During this 10-week course you will build on your previous knowledge and practical skills in hand building with clay, including slab building and coiling, and applying slips and glazes.
Assessment Method
This is a RARPA based course, assessment is carried out though building of a portfolio and taking part within tasks matched to the individual’s personal targets.
RARPA stands for Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement which is the process of assessment for non-accredited learning. It is a means of validating the outcomes of programmes which do not result in qualifications. RARPA is a five-stage process which measures and records learners’ progress, achievements and attendance.
