Multiply is a new programme to help adults to improve their numeracy skills.
Multiply is a new programme to help adults to improve their numeracy skills.
Multiply is a new government-funded programme. We want to boost your confidence and ability to use maths and numbers effectively in daily life, at home and at work. Feeling confident with numbers can help you in everyday life, such as helping children with homework, cooking, banking, sewing, decorating your house and budgeting money. It will also enhance job opportunities and lead to higher wages or prepare you for further study.
WHO’S IT FOR? The free Multiply courses are for:
As part of the Multiply project, we use a range of innovative, fun activities to demonstrate how often we use numbers and maths without realising that we are doing it! Events will be offered throughout the year to engage you in practical learning with an underpinning of using numbers – plan to manage the cost of living, learn new construction skills, imagine yourself in space travel, plan to complete some DIY, manage on a student budget, compare household energy costs, plan a party – the list is endless! Develop skills further by attending short courses to boost your confidence with numbers and when you feel ready, challenge yourself to move onto a more formal course with our team of specialists and build your skills further to progress towards a formal qualification.
COST: Free! Multiply is fully funded by the Government.
HOW TO APPLY: Please email us at learneradvice@hullcc.gov.uk quoting the word ‘Multiply’ or call us on 01482 615 349 and we will let you know all of the upcoming workshops and activities that will be launching shortly.
